Project Overview
In recent years, Jonathan’s Dream playground has undergone a beautiful transformation to become a more modern yet still inclusive playground. Since the actual playground has become more modern, it was time to modernize their website.
We built the new website in WordPress, and spent time to update the content on the site. Beyond that, we were sure to employ playful imagery throughout the website, making it easy to view the playground’s appeal and see children playing, having fun.

Jonathan’s Dream has been known as a “mecca for children of all abilities” since it opened in 1996 in West Hartford, CT. The original structures were crafted by hand and were primarily made out of wood.
After the first few years of success Time magazine wrote an article about Jonathan’s Dream and shortly thereafter hundreds of requests came in from individuals, schools and other various nonprofits interested in creating an inclusive playground for their own communities.
The new Jonathan’s Dream play area opened in October of 2017 following a five year gap where the park was being redesigned. The reimagined design is loaded with equipment that is inclusive for all children but aims to keep them physically engaged in the areas of strength, endurance, and flexibility.
