Project Overview
It was truly an honor to help build My Sister’s Place an e-commerce website that could raise money for domestic violence victims. The project began with a uniquely tailored planning and strategy session to outline a road map for e-commerce success. They needed a scalable solution— what often begins as a simple store can quickly grow to a much larger platform— so we created a system that can easily grow to add features and functions as their business continues to develop.
The site’s navigation was crafted with the online shopper in mind and was designed to be an intuitive experience for online customers, promoting return visits and online purchases.

My Sister’s Place is a unique family thrift shop located in Ansonia, CT, with a heart-of-gold. The shop offers customers a high-end retail and online shopping experience. Best of all, all proceeds directly benefit victims of domestic violence and their children. The staff at My Sister’s Place have an eye for high-quality items, at the best possible price— they are responsible for sorting, arranging and choosing everything you see both in the store and online.
Any purchases on their website, SupportUmbrella.org, and at their retail store help domestic violence victims escape their situation and rebuilt safe and happy lives. The best part about shopping here is that your purchases will make a difference in the lives of others.
