Project Overview
Wickham Park offers CT residents gorgeous views abound from the time you enter the gates to the highest point in the 280 acre park— They needed a website to showcase that. Wickham Park’s website redesign project heavily focused on highlighting the natural beauty of the park, whether it’s the natural gardens, or wedding areas. The site aims to strike a balance between stunning photography and providing visitors with useful information in an format that’s easy to navigate.

Wickham Park in Manchester, CT is open seven days a week starting the first week of April all the way through the last weekend in October. Regular park hours run from 9:30 a.m. to sunset, although the park closes for inclement weather. A majority of the land that Wickham Park resides on was a gift from Clarence H. Wickham. His will mandated that the property become a park following the death of his wife, Edith Wickham. Following his death in 1945, Clarence Wickham also left a large portion of his financial estate to fund Wickham Park’s maintenance. While the trust helps to cover a large portion of the operating expenses, the park requires donations, fees, and charges to deliver the highest quality experience on a yearly basis.
